How did you hear about Nights?
My friend asked me to join.

Why are you interested in joining us?
It seems to be a fun raiding guild who has a good time just being in a guild together, and my friend is in it.

Why did you choose this class?
The fact that it is a hybrid class and I have always enjoyed being a druid all the way from diablo 2 xpac and from warcraft 3.

Why did you choose this spec?
I chose feral dps spec for the complex series of abilities needed to dps well and being good raid aware to observe how raid needs assistance, Innervate and Battle Rez, without having being yelled at to use those spells. I chose feral tank spec because i like the change in look from a normal tank who uses weapons instead of their bear hands.

PreBC - I had gotten up to Saphirron with guild only and killed KT with a combination of players from the best of 3 guilds.
BC - Cleared everything up to BT, in SWP I had gotten up to twins before the nerf then got KJ down after the nerf.
WoTLK - I have been raiding from when Naxx was progression, I have cleared 10 man. In ulduar I got up to Yogg - Normal before ToC came out. In ToC i have cleared both 10 and 25 man, some heroic modes for each. In ICC I am 11/12 for 10 man and 6/12 for 25 man.

What kind of attendance can we expect from you upon being invited to be a raid with Nights?
Before a raid even starts, I am usually outside the raid instance ready and waiting, so as soon as I get invited I will accept the invite and be ready.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them:
Baka desu yo - Left to come to this guild to be with friend who was also in that guild, only one other person in Baka desu yo who is a friend of ours.

Why do you raid?
I raid because I like to work with others to take down a single thing that could possibly kill anyone if they try to do it alone, I just get a sense of excitement when good teamwork is used to its extent to do something that would normally seem impossible to do.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?
I believe a raiding guild is successful when the raiders are all compitent, know what they are doing, and know their role well enough to be a good addition to the group.

Why do you raid? why does anyone Raid?? to enjoy the deeper parts of the game, not to mention more of a challenge and better team work.. did i mentioned getting geared :)

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? successful team work cooridantion, unseccuessful not caring about working together and being in it for yourself.

Why do you raid? I enjoy downing bosses and working as a cohesive group, I do not mind wiping or dieing as long as the raid learns from every experience.

A successful raiding guild will have friends that will have a combined need for helping the friend and guild progress. unsuccessful is selfish people who all have different goals or in it just for gear and nothing more.

How did you hear about Nights? I've seen them roaming around ED for donks. Most recently, I met Barlos, a rogue that did some triumph token grinding with me.

Why are you interested in joining us? I mostly want a guild to party with. Not sure how much raiding I'll do since I'm newlywed. More of a casual player these days.

Why did you choose this class? I wanted a caster class since I've always been tank, melee, or heals. And this class cannot tank or heal, which is always what I end up doing. So it kind of forces me to see another perspective. Oh yeah, and locks are scary.

Why did you choose this spec? I like affliction for the DoTs. The numbers are getting huge now though, especially below 35%.

I'm more interested in casual play. If I was around and needed, of course I could fill in and know about 1/2 of the new content.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them:
1. The Scarlet Dawn, they were very close knit and I felt a bit like an outsider. They were very good and taught me a lot though.
2. Hallowed, they broke up when guild leader had a baby. I made a lot of fun friends in there, but also clashed with some of them as is bound to happen in a 25 man dynamic.
3. Remnant, I tanked a lot of progression for them. I liked the 10 man strict aspect but we were a new guild and player stability and reliability (attendance) became an issue to me. A lot of time was wasted each week due to tardiness, etc.

Why do you raid? I like raiding and seeing all the content. I like that some (very few these days, granted) of the encounters present a good challenge. It's a nice break from the easy stuff. I also enjoy the social aspect of raiding. I've always tried to keep a fun atmosphere while maintaining a reasonable level of focus in raids.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? A raiding guild can't forget that it's a game and supposed to be fun or noone will want to play. Of course there are a lot of people who have completely lost sight of that years ago and take it more seriously than their real lives, or lack there of. A successful raiding guild doesn't get discouraged on wipes and learning curves to new content because they know what to expect with progression. If we always one-shot every new encounter, there wouldn't be that feeling of satisfaction when you finally get the hang of them.

References: Upon request. I have plenty of wow friends but never feel like I have "enough" to the point I don't need to work on making new ones. The reason I want to join this guild is make new friends to play with. Not necessarily interested in raiding right now, but that may change in the future.
I have alts: Dwarrowdelf, a prot/fury warrior who was my main raider. Mohd, a prot/holy paladin (can't get enough tankage!!). Shem, a holy/shadow priest that I raided a fair amount on, but ended up faction/server switching to play with a co-worker on Stormscale in Satori.

What do you hope to get from a new guild that your current guild doesn't provide? More friends and activity outside of raid times. I am getting my warlock "raid ready" maybe subconsciously with the intent to raid but I wish to remain casual for now. I think there are a fair amount of people or alts gearing up that I could play with in Nights. I could also shoot some heals or tanking if needed, but want to focus on my lock.

Why are you interested in joining us? I am a casual player and not always able to dedicate a full week to raiding every week. I do enjoy raiding and I want to do it with a firm group rather than always pugging (which I have been). Your guild was perfect with the raid times and dates.

Why did you choose this class? I have a few characters, but druid is something I recently started playing again and I really enjoying raid healing as a resto druid.

Why did you choose this spec? Healing is kind of my thing - I'm not so good at DPS or tanking.

I do promise though that I understand the current raiding content and have experience in it. I do not require someone needing to teach me every fight. :)

Why do you raid? I enjoy playing WoW and grouping with people I enjoy as friends.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? A positive atmosphere where people are able to work together and get along. I don't think harsh criticism and negative attitude like yelling at someone for a simple mistake is effective at all. My old guild leader personally did that to our guild members and it made us feel horrible and not do any better about ourselves (but mostly because he would just say harsh things and not criticize what we did wrong at all. Just call us something vulgar). If you're going to criticize, be constructive. This also goes along with adding positive atmosphere to the raid.

How did you hear about nights?
A: I was previously in the guild.

Why are you interested in joining us?
A: Now that I've begun playing again, I desire a guild environment that I am both familiar with, and know to be full of excellent people, except Aldrin , who smells bad.

Why did you choose this class?
A: Honestly, when i started playing back in vanilla....I didn't know anything about the class. However, with time (and 96 days /played on this character), I've learned to thoroughly enjoy the complex class that is rogue.

Why did you choose this spec?
A: Currently, I have my dual talent specs set for 20/51/0 Combat Swords as my main and 41/5/25 Mutilate Hybrid as my offspec. This gives me the ability to both PvE and PvP whenever I desire. I realize that there are currently higher DPS specs out there, but combat gives me excellent dungeon farming and soloing capabilities. Also, at my current gear level, (I just hit 80 at 4 am server :P) the DPS increases/decreases are negligible.

A: My attendance will always be exemplary, I will show up early and stay as late as needed. My only exceptions are family circumstances, and death of myself.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them.
A: My last three guilds (starting with my last and working my way back) were Maximum prestige, Courage, and Nights. Maximum Prestige was the last guild I was in, I left because I was frankly burned out. Raiding four nights a week for four to five hours coupled with all the extras like gold farming and jewels and blah blah blah...killed me, I was putting in 40 hour weeks and hated it. I left courage to go to Maximum Prestige because I joined Courage at a point when their core raiders were all getting special attention, and I received little to no help. Finally, I left Nights to get into the end-game progression scene. On a side note: I also left Courage and Maximum Prestige because they gave me the douche chills and tried to eat my soul.

Why do you raid?
A: I raid to have fun in a serious manner, if that makes sense. An elegant pull, or supremely executed kill are fun to me, but require a level of concentration and skill that prohibits frivolousness.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?
A: While successful raids are a combination of many different factors, the one thing that sticks out to me as important is communication. Like so many other situations in life (tacky, I know), the abilities to speak and be heard, as well as to listen and process are key.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them: Winters Dawn (Blackwater Raiders) - Guild broke apart after last summer. Zero Tolerance (Blackwater Raiders) - Was tired of the guild purposely carrying others in raids constantly and not confronting the issue about it. The guild leaders did not attempt to learn their class, either. Overall un-organized and full of elitists.

Why do you raid? I enjoy progression and experiencing the content Blizzard has provided.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? Communication or lack of communication. Listen to instructions and you'll do fine.

How did you hear about Nights?
Figgus, and i raided with Nights a few times in SSC back in the day.

Why are you interested in joining us?
I'm looking for a good group of people that are fun to be around and to raid with. Not to mention you all where pretty fun back in Burning Crusade.

Why did you choose this class?
I chose a druid right after the game originally came out. I wanted to play one because of the extreme versitility. And being a moonkin is pretty awesome.

Why did you choose this spec?
I first tried it out in Molten Core because my guild wanted one right after blizzard made the Moonkin form, and i've been one ever since.

I quit playing the game for about a year because RL issues got in the way, but i am currently in Lost Soulz and want to find another guild because LS just isn't my style. They have their main group of raiders and anyone else they won't hardly acknowledge.

Why do you raid?
To see content, and have fun with friends. I pretty much suck at pvp so raiding is what i like to do.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?
I believe that a successful raiding guild has strong leaders and good listeners. Organization is a must, and for people to study the current progression fights. An unsuccessful guild has weak leaders that won't take command and raiders that won't listen or study on the fights.

Heritage: I have beeni n the guild for a long time and they never let me in raids even when they need a ranged dps and people are getting uptight in there. Of an Iron Will: Disbanned. Ancients Council: Guild leader was very immature and was mean.

To have fun and get cool gear with friends.

A good raiding guild can work together, communicate, and just have fun. A bad raiding guild has alot of drama everyday, cant listen to each other, and cant accpet mistakes.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them: Well technically this character is holding an old guild (Lupus Phasmatis) that died out almost 2 years ago. She was left sitting around level 40 for a long time. Some of my other characters are in Kingship of the East.. I was never in another guild for a significant amount of time to be worth mentioning. I'm not having my priest join Kingship too because a lot of their weekly raid slots are full and I want to see content without muddling through all the pugs.

Why do you raid? to see content and to get gear. I find raiding fun.

Why are you interested in joining us? Lately, I haven't been able to raid much. Its been either PuG or nothing. Ankaa mentioned you needed DKs, and spent awhile looking for a tank for one of your 10man groups the other night.

Why did you choose this class? Originally, this was an alt I leveled in Naxx days when I had nothing else to do on my hunter. As soon as I was 80 and defense capped, my guild at the time dragged me in as a 2nd OT for 25man Naxx. I also have spent a fair amount of time playing with all 3 trees as tank and dps.

Why did you choose this spec? For tanking, I enjoy blood. Especially in icecrown, where effective health is the name of the game, blood comes out as the best tank spec for death knights(imo). I prefer to DPS as frost, however, using my current axe as blood yields more dps than my 232 one handers. I don't particularly care for unholy. It does better in AoE situations, but I prefer unholy as my pvp spec.

In WotLK, I have dps'd, tanked, and healed (on my paladin) all previous tier non-heroic content, with some hard modes every once in awhile when I find a group. I raided Kara, Gruul's, Mag's some SSC and TK pre-nerf, before I started my alotholicism.

Aegis - still with them for the time being. They're good people and all, but most of them raid a bit later at night than I'd like, and so often times I end up not going. And many times people just aren't on.
Bring the Ruckus - I knew a couple people in there (this is after Stephaka-fail had quit), but it degraded badly when Severinze left.
Raiders for Hire - Was mostly just friends with some raids, but guild leader was quitting.

Why do you raid?
I got into raiding from my love of rpg's such as final fantasy etc. So WoW and pve raiding was sort of a natural thing.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?
A successful raiding guild well enjoy the time that they are raiding. That, in my opinion, is 90% of being successful and lasting together as a raid, enjoying yourself. If you're not having fun, even if you're downing bosses etc, then you're missing the point, because WoW is a game we play to have fun.

How did you hear about Nights? Just strolling through Dal and noticed a Gnome Chef. Asked a few questions and he directed me to this site.

Why are you interested in joining us?

I'm looking for a new home after my old guild disband. I spent most of my time if not all on PVE servers. Progression has always been fun for me and when i heard ED was as much PVE as PVP i couldn't resist. I transferred all my toons here on a gamble that I would find a new place to play the game. But to answer your question would be premature. I'm scouting and only 2 guilds have perk my interest. I look for mature guilds that don't commit to drama. Young adults who approach this game the same way do, as a game and a hobby.

Why did you choose this class?

Ive always enjoyed a playing a warrior the most. Guess you can say I'm addicted to charge. The play style isn't gimped by mana restrictions or energy.

Why did you choose this spec? I never choose Protection, it kinda choose me and once I started. I wasn't able to turn back.

I cannot list 3, I have only been in 2 serious guilds were the intention was raiding. Instinct@Eonar and Reloaded@Winterhoof/Averno@Echo Isles. Instinct was my first raid guild and i was still new to the game. Having only started 6 months before BC release. We raided all through BC just getting into Sunwell and attendance was hampering our raid schedule. They eventually broke off and filtered into other guilds. Averno/Reloaded was the last raiding guild i was in. I was an officer with the guild through 2 server transfers. Most of the core stayed together from WotLK. I took a break in the fall and asked be step down to casual/alt and they continued up until the Raid leader called it just a few weeks ago. Then i transferred here.

Why do you raid?

I enjoy the excitement, suspense and thrill during the kill attempts. Even the elevated heartbeat after the kill gives me a thrill. I also love the lore of the game and following through the content. Sharing those moments with friends, although they may be new is still just as enjoyable.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? Drama.

We had a few rules in Averno/Reloaded. That was no /1, /2, /4, /3 unless they are being used appropriately. If people could with stand the banter of trade then they were mature enough to be in the guild. This kept us off the radar and kept the trolls and drama queens out.

I joined this guild from a pug just to chill and get familiar with ED. The player Leafwhisper has introduced me to many guilds from the No Mercy Mafia to Axion to The Scarlet Dawn. They pug 7 nights a week and it can be frustrating teach new people the same fights nights after night. I guess what I'm getting at is i would like a little more structure in a guild with good leadership. I am hoping NIghts is one of those guilds

I've been on Echoes of War (left because i couldn't raid on their raid times), then i joinned Pinnacle, a 10man focused guild (guild disbanded). Now i have an Warlock on Comfortably Numb, and my DK is guildless so far.

Because i like to improve my toons and progress throught the raids.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? Success of any guild relies on the guild officers providing constructive leadership, by anticipating the needs of the guild members, and motivating them to accomplish them. For raiding to be successful, it depends on the style of raiding you are doing, being it Progression, Fun, Loot aquiring, or just finishing up those lost achievements, it all depends on the needs and goals of the raiding members in my opinion, I have done all 4, and I can tell you the first is the most expensive, so bring your Flask, Food, and Repair money with you

Why are you interested in joining us?: See previous question. Actually, from what i've heard you are a friendly guild that encourages people to enjoy the game on their own terms. And I understand gnomes are welcome...many gnomes...legions of gnomes!

Why did you choose this class?: Lorewise (both in WoW and outside of it) mages are often regarded as bookish, eccentric and stewards of arcane knowledge and power. All of these traits appeal to me (in any RPG) and keep me engaged in the game. This is probably why I mostly roll clothies...

Why did you choose this spec?: I've been known to go with the "underdog" spec while leveling and stick with it. Back when I leveled this guy, Arcane was seen as the "You are OUT OF YOUR MIND" spec to level with and i've been a fanboy of it in every regard since then. Nothing else compares in terms of flexibility, fun and usefulness.

: Back when I left this was still a leveling guild and I wanted to join a friends raiding guild and experience end game content upon hitting 80. They were really awesome while I was leveling and I still think about some of the people I met during my time in that guild as well as keep in touch with the ones that stayed behind on this server! They did eventually become a raiding guild and server transferred.

: I was with them for quite some time and raided frequently. Sometime last summer a sudden and painful decline occurred in the guild where the GM stopped playing, the core raiding group either left or stopped playing and the environment became hostile and unfriendly. As for myself I got burnt out from WoW and took a break.

: I enjoy all aspects of the game: PvP, PvE and RP. I joined Kingship due to their alleged efficiency and activity in all of those areas. I do miss Kingship but an ever increasing list of reasons was making my continued membership with that guild more and more difficult. Chief amongst those reasons was the fact that my two good friends Ankaa and Jalar left...I was getting kinda lonely /gnomecry

Why do you raid?: For me, endgame content is a means to propel the Lore of the game into its next chapter and allows players to be a part of major "world events". I love Lore and like working with a varied group of people to accomplish the goals of a raid. Having a good time while raiding is also important..which is why "hardcore" raiding has not been an option for me since my days by any means.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?: A successful raiding guild encourages, above all other things, its members to enjoy the game as intended. Unsuccessful guilds time and time again allow petty drama, a "This is SRS BZNZ" attitude and unfriendly officers/members to ruin the fabric of a guild.

What kind of attendance can we expect from you upon being invited to be a raid with Nights? I will always be there for the raids, the only time I might have an issue with attendance is during the last two weeks of April when I have final exams from my university.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them: There is only one from a different realm, it was called Among the Dead and it broke apart because there was a fight between two of the leaders. I was in that guild for a very long time then decided to move here to this realm when it was destroyed.

Why do you raid? I enjoy the lore side as well as playing the game with people from the guild, I find that with raiding you can make the greatest of friends and bitterest enemies, personally I hope to make good friends.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful? A successful raiding is guild is to know when to joke around and chat (on vent particularly) and when to buckle down and focus. A boss fight is usually no longer than ten minutes, so if people really pay attention it could be over real quick. I also find that a successful raiding guild is when EVERYONE makes the effort in reading and watching videos on bosses that have not been encountered with. That way at least everyone has a general idea on what to expect so that even if we do wipe, we know how to fix the mistakes made. A bad guild is someone who pretty avoids doing what I just mentioned. Drama is also a great way to watch a guild crumble.

Why are you interested in joining us?
I've heard that this guild is very friendly and that you raid, but not obsessively. I also have friends there who speak very well of it.

Why did you choose this class?
I've just always liked the rogue~ish characters in every video game and/or book I've come across. So I decided to play a rogue and fell in love. Have a few other 80's, but I've found none to be quite as fun as my rogue, not even other melee toons (though I am looking forward to getting my kitty druid to 80).

Why did you choose this spec?
Honestly... because I have weapons for it. I haven't managed to get ahold of a decent mainhand weapon for combat since Naxx 10. If I had one, I'd be combat. I find mut incredibly boring, but since I've got decent daggers, I'll stick with that till I get ahold of something better for combat. It's a labor of love.

I usually am on time to every raid I'm supposed to be at. Unless I'm having an exceptionally bad day, I log on early for invites and to make sure I've got everything I need for a raid. And I try to give decent notice if I'm not going to be able to get online.

Please list the last 3 guilds you were in and describe the reasons you are no longer with them:
Kingship of the East: The leadership mistreats its members, shows favoritism to some and doesn't seem to notice others, some are arrogant, and there is a great deal of disorganization and rewarding of bad behavior. When I lost my raid spot to someone who had quit the game, then came back a few months later, refusing to go to ten mans because they were beneath him and demanding his 25 man spot back, I decided I'd had enough.
Reciprocity: There was a lot of drama. Favoritism, people not showing up on time to raids, members gossiping and speaking badly about others as if it were high school. I got sick of it.
Valorous/Devastate: These two guilds were basically the same guild, just with a reforming in the middle. I wanted to try raiding, so I left this guild, since they hadn't really started raiding and I had only been there for friends.

Why do you raid?
Because it's fun. It gives me something to do, some variety to mix in with pvp and leveling alts, and I like to be useful and help out. If I didn't raid, this game would be nothing more than a glorified chat room for me.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?
While decent progression is definitely a sign, I care more about a guild that's organized, where everyone shows up on time to raids, is friendly, no favoritism or screwing over of people who work hard in favor of others who've done nothing to earn it. I'd rather progress slowly and be treated well and have fun than progress more quickly but hate the idea of logging on to my toon because I want nothing to do with my guild except have someplace to raid.

I left Templars of Glory back in vanilla wow when I decided to take a year or so off. I was with Ronin for six months or so during BC but it fell apart. I'm currently in Emerald Raiders, but the guild is fading pretty quickly at this point.

I like the challenge of learning new fights and I like to see the new content.

I think having a consistent, well rounded group is very key. Also, having raid members there are prepared or at least a knowledgeable guide is a big plus.

I like to work in a group. My RL work is similar, as I interact with many people during the work day.

In your opinion, what makes a raiding guild successful and what makes a raiding guild unsuccessful?
A successful raiding guild has patient, and respectful members who work together by sharing responsibility, and has a leader who is able to encourage members to be their best, and knows how to workaround limitations. I haven't bumped into an unsuccessful raiding guild per se. I've raided with some guilds in Illidan that have limited success.

How did you hear about Nights?
I saw a member post about Nights in trade, and it seemed like a perfect fit for me.

Why are you interested in joining us?
I've looking for a big, active, casual raiding guild. And this seems like just that!

Why did you choose this class?
I absolutely love playing an ele shaman, and I'm good at it!

Why did you choose this spec?
I've not leveled a caster before, and now that I've tried out elemental, I love it!

I'm online pretty much every day, and I'm able to be online during that time frame.

Unless something dire comes up IRL, or my friend decides to use this account, I show up to every raid I sign up to.

None of any real importance. In fact, I don't think I've been in a guild on this toon, I stayed guildless until 80 and here I am, trying to find a guild that suits me.

I enjoy raiding. I also like improving my character.

A member of Nights contacted me after I posted in the guild recruitment channel that I was looking for a casual-ish raiding guild.

Why are you interested in joining us?
The people are mature, but not stuffy; laid back, but not careless.

Why did you choose this class?
After healing as a druid for a long time, it's fun to be able to destroy something with big sharp things.

Why did you choose this spec?
Fury is arguably the best PvE warrior DPS spec.

Good leadership and maturity among raiders leads to success. Greed ruins raiding guilds.

Council of Garudians, no schedual random pugs. Super annoying to miss the good ones.

The Bacon Feeling. (Tis my analogy of downing a new or hard boss, its like eating REALLY good turkey bacon) For 15$ a month its all you can eat :D
